Online/presence indicator is a feature request that pops up every now and then. We haven’t added it as it raises some privacy questions and also at the age of mobile what does it mean to be “online”? However, we’re not dismissing the idea and are thinking if there’s a useful way to solve it.

As to history backup — this is something we’ll add for sure, just no timeline to share at the moment.
